For this work, a jpg of the map of the states of Israel and Palestine was created from 102 screenshots of the map of the regions of Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
In this map, Jerusalem and the surrounding area have been transformed into a park landscape.
All Israeli settlements in the West Bank were cut out of the map and integrated into the map of Israel (an attempt was made to find similar landscapes for the settlers and all settlements have road access. The settlements were selected according to the list on Wikipedia Germany (as of October 2023)1 .
The vacated areas were filled with the surrounding landscape.
The borders between Israel and the neighbouring states were highlighted in red. The border between the State of Israel and the State of Palestine was treated as a recognised state border. The course of the border follows the armistice lines, where these do not have a clear course, the border runs approximately in the centre.
The border at the Golan Heights is not part of the peace plan and has been highlighted in blue to symbolise its temporary nature until a peace treaty is signed between the countries.

The inhuman attack by the Palestinian terrorists of Hamas on Israeli babies, children, celebrators, parents, grandparents and entire families on 7 October 2023 is incomprehensible in its bestiality. Israel is now trying to restore security for its population by military means. Israel not only has the right to do so, but also has an obligation to its own people. The suffering of the Palestinian population, which is the result of Hamas' actions, cannot leave me untouched either. The instinctive reaction as an observer is hopelessness.
But hopelessness is not an option for working towards a solution.
One of the excuses for the recurring conflicts between all religious groups in the region is the use of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. At the same time, Jerusalem is claimed as the capital by both Palestinians and Israelis. Jerusalem is both a religious and a nationalist symbolic city, and has always been a devastatingly mixed situation. During the Crusades alone, between 1 and 3 million people probably died. And the killing continues today. That is why the basic idea is to find a solution without Jerusalem. Jerusalem must disappear.
If we can now imagine a world without a religiously overloaded city, we can once again believe in the two-state solution. For a start to be made, the aggressive settlement policy of the national-religious must be reversed.
