I love to read. So the idea of making art out of books is first and foremost due to my love of books. Another aspect was that the time limitations of the artistic work of a part-time artist are not helpful for oil painting. So I was looking for a way to make the creative process more independent of the final product.
I explored the idea of image mergers as well as the idea that paintings could be created from books by converting the information source of the text into visual material.

First of all, I got the texts of two books by my brother Michael (many thanks to the dear staff of KiWi, who are still waiting for a realisation) to try to develop a pictorial rule from them.
Since this was not so easy, the first thing I created was the isbn-maschine, with which a colour rule I had found could be applied online.
The painting literature is still in its infancy, but in the book mergers we are already getting closer to the idea.
