Since my visit to the Westkunst exhibition in Cologne in 1981, I have been preoccupied with the search for the correct representation of colour. What makes a colour. What is a blue, what makes a blue, blue. What structure is needed to represent "green" (the Irish even have two words for "green", one for the green in nature and one for a painted, coloured, not grown green.
