The basis for the image mergers are photographs of couples.
The couples are photographed individually, frontally in front of a neutral background. The models look straight ahead (both vertically and horizontally).
According to the rules of image merging, colour values are isolated in the CMYK colour model1
and then combined by either adding or subtracting the colour values respectively. For each merger, one colour value of one image is combined with the corresponding colour value of the other image in the pair. Theoretically, 12 fusions are possible per pair.
